Acupuncture:
Acupuncture is an essential part of traditional Oriental medicine, a comprehensive system of health care with a continuous clinical history of over 3000 years. Oriental medicine includes acupuncture, Chinese herbology and bodywork, dietary therapy and exercise based on traditional Oriental medicine principles. Fertility Acupuncture:
Treating Infertility with Chinese medicine utilizes education, diet, nutritional supplementation, acupuncture, herbs, to improve the reproductive response. Initial Oriental Examination:
The initial examination may take from 30 up to 45 min. and includes a thorough medical and personal history, description of complaints, a review of the functioning of the systems of the body, and a physical examination. Practitioners assess a person's health by feeling the pulsations at each wrist and by observing the color and form of the tongue and body. This information is interpreted in the context of a patient's present and past complaints, work and living habits, physical environment, family health history, and emotional life. From all of this information, a treatment plan is developed, unique to the individual patient.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis:
A hair tissue mineral analysis is a screening test for the level of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair. It is a tissue mineral biopsy that is non-invasive, relatively inexpensive and extremely accurate. Providing a mineral blueprint of one’s biochemistry, a hair tissue mineral analysis can provide pertinent information about your metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress, immune system and glandular activity.
Nutritional Symptom Survey & Assessment:
Your responses to the questions in the Nutritional Symptom Survey, will allow you to voice your perceptions of your symptoms and health concerns, so the Practitioner may elicit foundational or root causes of what’s happening in your body rather than focusing on individual symptoms. The intent is to help balance your body’s chemistry through whole food nutritional support. Only real, whole food nutrition provides the body with the needed raw materials to help balance body chemistry. Included is a report of findings which will provide you with a list and schedule of supplements that were selected based upon your responses to the questions. The report also includes a list and explanation of body systems (i.e. liver, digestive, cardio, etc), listed in order of importance that need nutritional support to help balance your body’s chemistry and function. As you work with your health care practitioner in following his or her recommendations for supplements, diet, and other health practices, you will note a gradual, progressive sense of increasing vitality and sense of well being.
